Terroir | Alluvial clay and limestone |

Vinification | The base wine for this cuvee is Anjou Rouge, which we rack, then separate 10 hl in a vat, and add oenological wood chips to soak, giving this wine its woody tones. The chips are left for varying lengths of time depending on the vintage and required taste. When the wood is removed, the wine is left to rest. It is then filtered and bottled. The acquired alcohol is 12% vol. |
Production | 1300 bottles |
Dégustation | The ruby red colour releases a bouquet of black fruits with toasted highlights. Supple in the mouth it presents rich, fruity aromas and a vanilla finish which is soft and woody. It can be laid down for a year and enjoyed for up to 4 years. Serve at 13°c. |
Accord mets et vin | Our Cuvée Maxime goes beautifully with cold or grilled meats, as well as meat cooked in sauces or the cheese course. |
It is to be served with meats cooked in sauces or grilled meats as well as cheeses. Perfect as an aperitif for those who have a soft spot for red wine.
