Pairs delightfully with foie gras or desserts but can also be served chilled as an aperitif.
A mellow wine, hand-picked over a late harvest, it is generous, rich and unctious. It is long in the mouth with notes of flowers and fruits.
This wine ages beautifully.
This characteristic appellation of the Layon terroir is emblematic of the Anjou wines. The Layon is a small river to the south of Angers. The hillside vineyard basks in the sun all day and so benefits from an ideal climate. This appellation easily rivals classic, better known and higher priced wines.
